Park Ridge

Friday night Zach, Scooter, and I went to a concert at our neighborhood park. We packed a picnic and planned to make a night of it. Scooter got bored and started barking after about a half an hour, but at least we gave it a try.

Saturday we decided to take a field trip to Park Ridge. I've never been and Zach drove through it last week and said I would like it. We decided it would be perfect for an evening out. Park Ridge has an area called "Uptown" that is filled with nice restaurants, shopping, and a Trader Joe's, so we planned our evening in that area.

Zach was feeling Mexican food so we ate at Hay Caramba. Delicious food and great atmosphere.

Then we walked around uptown, making stops at a pet store and Trader Joe's.

On the walk back to the car we stopped to take some pictures.

Fun Fact: This theater was one of many facades used in the opening credits of "At the Movies" with Siskel and Ebert. I learned that on Wikipedia.

Another fun fact, Park Ridge is the hometown of one of my heroes, Hilary Clinton. Also learned from Wikipedia.

As summer winds to a close we are trying to take advantage of the warm weather and the beautiful area we live in.
